Bundjalung of Byron Bay (Arakwal) Aboriginal Corporation

BoBBAC

The Bundjalung of Byron Bay (Arakwal) Aboriginal Corporation (BoBBAC) is located within the heart of Byron Bay, NSW.  It has a small number of high value land assets that it is developing for social, cultural and economic purposes, including the Broken Head Holiday Park.  Broken Head is located approximately 10 kilometres south of Byron Bay.  It is famous for its secluded beaches, laidback atmosphere and cultural diversity.

Broken Head Holiday Park currently provides tourist accommodation for guests, residents and holiday van owners in cabins, caravans, powered sites or camping grounds.  The holiday park is bounded by the Pacific Ocean and the Broken Head Nature Reserve

The Corporation secured the holiday park as part of an Indigenous Land Use Agreement in 2007. After a period of external management, the Corporation took over the governance and control of the Park from 2009 and has successfully operated it for nine years recording healthy profits and carrying out regular upgrades.

The park was transferred to the Corporation with some major maintenance issues and was in much need for repairs with tiring cabins, outdated and extremely tiring amenities.
