Audit &
Assurance
Overview
Audit and Assurance services are essential to establish credibility and build reputation, which is critically important regardless of your type of business or organisation.
Why MLCS Corporate?
MLCS Corporate treats each assignment differently, tailoring it to the client needs and compliance requirement. We are experienced in providing these services to all styles of enterprises from large integrated corporate groups, to not-for-profits, to small organisations requiring audit sign off. We have developed a niche in the not-for-profit sector, and in particular Indigenous groups.
Led by Paul Case
Each audit is led by our Audit Director, Paul Case who is actively involved with your assignment, is hands-on and across the issues. Paul prides himself in being readily accessible to his audit clients with quick response times.
Because each enterprise is unique, MLCS Corporate realised a “one size fits all” approach rarely works, especially with the clients we tend to work with.
That is why we put a specific team together for each engagement, the members of which bring skills and cohesion to the task. We strongly believe this approach works the best with those assignments we undertake.

You need to be aware of:
Most Corporations registered under the CATSI Act through ORIC with operating income greater than $100,000 will be required to lodge an audit report with the Registrar within six months of the end of the corporation's financial year (i.e. 31 December).
The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) requires, from the 2014 reporting period onwards, medium and large charities to submit financial reports that have either been reviewed or audited and submit the reviewer’s or auditor’s report to the ACNC along with the financial report.
Organisations receiving Government Grant Funding will have the Financial Reporting requirements and due dates specified in the Grant Agreement. The level of Assurance required for each Grant may differ depending on the requirements of each activity funded.
You will be required, depending on the Grant Agreement, to provide one of the following: Financial Declaration; Non-Audited Financial Acquittal; or Audited Financial Acquittal. MLCS can assist you to ensure your acquittal process meets the terms and conditions of your funding agreements.
